Yesteryear Collection

The Leicestershire Constabulary was established in 1839 to serve the County of Leicestershire. In 19951 it merged with the Rutland Constabulary to become appropriately the Leicestershire and Rutland Constabulary. The force continued independently until 1967 when it amalgamated with the Leicester City Police to become the Leicester and Rutland Constabulary. Re-organisation of local government in 1974 again changed the title and the Constabulary reverted to its original name of Leicestershire Constabulary.
This model depicts a vehicle of the period in Leicestershire Constabulary livery and bears a local registration number.
